Small Business Summit 2025

Event Description:

The Small Business Summit is an outreach event designed to engage current and prospective small, diverse, and local suppliers, business owners, and entrepreneurs. The summit supports MSU’s mission to advance outreach and economic development and reflects its commitment to being a regional and statewide economic driver. It also demonstrates MSU’s dedication to broadening its supplier base and creating equitable opportunities by increasing participation in its procurement process and encouraging supplier certification.  

Attendees will learn how to do business with MSU, navigate the process to become an approved vendor, and gain insight into the university’s current priorities and upcoming projects.  

Small Business Summit Goals:  

  • Engage current and prospective small, diverse, and local suppliers, business owners, and entrepreneurs interested in working with MSU
  • Increase opportunities for new suppliers to enter MSU’s procurement process
  • Educate attendees on MSU’s procurement policies, supplier requirements, and future project needs
  • Foster relationship-building, information-sharing, and a more inclusive supplier network that reflects the diversity of the communities MSU serves
